Plasticbag.org Organise Their Posts By Category – – Well, Big F**king Whoop

http://www.plasticbag.org/

I see Tom Coates has decided to organise his posts by category. Yeah, Tom, have you ever actually read a blog that isn’t your own? EVERYONE has their posts organised by category. Just look up the side, my friend. See it? Yet for some reason YOU stick it at the top of your page like you’ve created some kind of masterpiece and you expect us all to scream GENIUS OF THE MIND!! at you and lick your toes in adulation. Your obsession with being known as the “Peter Fonda of Blogging” really rears its ugly head in this instance. It’s this kind of laziness from a true innovator like Coates that makes me wish I could just stick my head up my ass and eat myself to death from the inside out.

What’s more, as my eyes glance over those “amazing” categories he’s showing off, I see just off-centre the GAY POLITICS category. Now I don’t have to just worry about your sanity. I also have images in my mind of Ned Beatty being sexually assaulted in the Burt Reynolds movie Deliverance. So, thanks for that Plastic Bag.

Hm. The point of the plasticbag.org navigation is that it’s totally stripped back and functional, that each page stands completely alone and looks clean and organised and that you know what you’re getting when you explore it. Given that the only difference between the homepage and an internal page is the presence of something at the top, I thought it seemed like a logical thing to do. Also = more importantly – this was all done several years ago and I haven’t had time to change it since.

In the meantime, you may find the gay politics stuff ludicrous, abhorrent and associate it with male rape. I don’t, because I’m not an illiberal idiot. Please feel free to continue to express opinions like that because they undermine any argument you could possibly make and reveal yourself to be the idiot that you clearly are.

Awww, man. I read Tom’s site all the time and I CAN’T BELIEVE he didn’t see that this is a wind-up.

This site could be very funny. If you can keep thinking of funny new ways to criticise websites that is. I’ll keep my own site to myself for now, thank you very much.

Tom- I see the “Peter Fonda of blogging” criticism goes unanswered.

    Ha ha.

How can plasticbag.org seriously think that someone would review their category listing? “The Peter Fonda Of Blogging.” Ha Ha. Brilliant.

I’ll keep my site to myself also.

The thing about humour is that it’s supposed to be funny, rather than just an insult and a quick homophobic comment, neither of which actually make me laugh.

Tom, (you’ll kill me if you realize who I am) it’s funny (to me) because the thing that’s being reviewed is so ridiculous and because the criticisms are so completely and outrageously unreasonable. The insults are so silly and wide of the mark that they can’t really be called insults. There is no actual personal criticism there. You might not think it’s funny but you should definitely not feel insulted.
